The Paraclisis Hymn

The Paraclisis Hymn or "Prayer of Consolation" is used during the days of the Dormition Fast (August 1-15). This prayer asks God to be present in times of need. We chant the praises of the Mother of God because the Holy Spirit worked through her for the salvation of the world.
